‘Maria Islands’ is a group exhibition that tells a story about how the Philippines might use trash exported to the country to expand national territory by means of plastic islands. By inviting other artists to build on this climate fiction scenario and make their own interpretations through their art, the story is told through different perspectives, opening it up for the audience to draw their own conclusions as well.
