A Collection of Reflections from 'Mycelium to Dry Your Tears: Virtual Sound Bath + Meditation' 1st Edition
Mycelium to Dry Your Tears is a virtual sound bath and live guided meditation based on the theme of ecological solidarity. The first edition of this event was hosted on June 14, 2020 in the Symbiotic Jungle by iridescent_soup (reiki healer) and duality (DJ) of Transit Records.
In this event, participants meditated on their oneness with all beings through a vivid and visceral meditation which took them from their own bodies to that of plants, animals, celestial bodies and back.
For what am I even doing things now?

It’s pretty easy to forget how deeply connected we are to everything - past, present and future. A timely reminder to always be mindful of our actions in the present for they could still be felt by others in the future.

We’re all connected somehow in different ways and especially with what’s going on in the world. Why do people still hate other people if we all come from the same source? I don’t know what the future holds, but somehow my existence will be felt somehow.

Calm and insight comes when you approach meditation with an open mindset. I think I needed to go through the process of preparing myself for the meditation to be effective.
‘Thoughts’ by VeniVidiVinci
While focusing your attention and awareness on the different elements of your body you realize the interconnectedness between yourself and everything around you - past, present and future.
‘Interconnected’ by ismisu
Keywords: interconnectedness, permanence of the elements, impermanence of our human experience.

The music of Duality sets the mood. The spoken words and guided meditation gave me a moment to relax and meditate. Would like to get into a deeper train of thinking. Thank you.

Keep up with discovering how you can not only personally grow but nurture the environment and people around you. Thank you for sharing your ideas, projects, adventures and moments of fun, hardship and love. You guys rock and keep building a life of wonders. I only hope to be there when you guys need a vet and importantly a symbiotic friend? Much love!

What do we mean when we say SYMBIOSIS?
Symbiosis is a relationship — one that entails vulnerability, usually for the benefit of both. Symbiosis entails a long-term (usually) biological interaction, but who’s to say it doesn’t involve spirits too?
‘How do we be symbiotic?’ is an impossible question because we inherently are. And whether the relationship is mutual, parasitic, commensal, predative or competitive isn’t up to those involved. Yet the membranes that define roles in a symbiotic relationship are semi-permeable, evolving with the relationship as it unfolds.
